Fludd movement carries this game.

I think this one is technically superior to 2002, though.

Lots of annoying design issues		This game could have been great if Nintendo didn't force Star Fox into it. The writing in the 2nd half of the game is honestly terrible, especially the way they handled General Scales. The gameplay is mostly fine, but it's obvious there's a lot of padding to make this game 17 hours long when it should have only been 10. The first 2 hours are great, the Force Point Temples are fun to solve, but the rest of the game is such a chore to get through. It also has that classic Rare™ game design where everything is more annoying than it needs to be, like the final boss being impossible if you don't know to spam barrel rolls during a specific attack, or Fox always facing the wrong direction after using the trumpet on the checkpoints during the snowhorn trial.

Some missions are really annoying		The racing in this game is probably the most barebones I've seen so far. The missions are alright, though. Some of them are annoying, but I guess they're okay. The highlight of this game should be exploring the massive levels, but the maps aren't interesting or different enough from each other to carry this game. This game is basically a worse version of Smuggler's Run.

Very few features		You can play this game for 10 minutes and get everything this game has to offer. If you decide to play more than that, the career mode has dozens of tournaments where each match takes about as long as a real life professional tennis match. However, it's extremely barebones and doesn't offer any content besides mediocre tennis gameplay.

Difficulty is off the charts		Mystic Heroes is essentially Dynasty Warriors on GameCube. You get into these large-scale fantasy battles and kill the enemies with your melee attacks and magic abilities. It took me a while to "get" the combat, but it's honestly alright. I thought the runes made setting up my character a little more interesting, too. That being said, it's hard to ignore that the gameplay gets pretty repetitive at times, and the camera makes things more annoying than they need to be. This game's difficulty is out of control because a lot of the levels (especially some boss fights) are designed like a bad Mario Maker level. Overall, this game could be okay with some design changes, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Takes forever to play		This game is basically a budget version of Mario Party, but I won't be too harsh on it since it's clearly designed for little girls. Honestly, the mini games are okay. They'd be on par with Mario Party if they had a 45-second timer instead of 1:30 or 2 minutes. You also only get two boards to play on. My main issue with the game is that it takes forever to play if you don't change the settings. This game could have been alright if it had more content and didn't feature Mary Kate and Ashley.

The cops can be annoying at times		A decent racing game with terrible input lag. It takes what should be a fantastic game and makes me not want to play it anymore. The graphics and sound are good, the missions are fun, the cops are very interactive, and the cars are all really nice, but the controls are sluggish and slow. It makes it hard to correct your mistakes or avoid collisions when every reaction is delayed by 3/4 of a second. I also think the police cars are really random and annoying when they gang up on you and ignore the other racers, but that's only a minor gripe compared to the controls.

Not much content		A surprisingly fun game. It's like a cross between Crash Bandicoot and 3D Sonic turned into a racing game. I could see this one being pretty fun with friends. My main gripe with the race mode is that you're forced to play the beginner races before the pro ones are available. It's kind of like playing 50cc in mario kart to unlock 100cc and 150cc. Just let me play the normal speed races from the start! Other than that and the battle mode, this one's pretty solid.

The game is fine, but it doesn't go above-and-beyond with anything. It's about what you'd expect from a decent hockey game. I prefer the arcade-style sports games like NHL Hitz.

The customization and sounds are noticeably better this time around. My only major complaint is that I think the menus are annoying to navigate. There are so many weird sub-menus, and it's not always obvious where a specific setting might be. Other than that, this one's pretty good.
